September 22 , 2008 - The Amundruds to sing at Trinity Music City USA
HENDERSONVILLE, TN - The Amundruds will perform on the Sam Ash stage (TBN Auditorium) during Christian Country Music Week at Trinity Music City. The Sam Ash Stage concert takes place on Monday October 13th @ 8:30 p.m. While in Sumner County, see the Amundruds on the Sumner Country Outdoor Stage located on the TBN grounds on Tuesday October 14th @ 1:50 p.m. ICM Week takes place from October 12th-16th, 2008. May 11, 2008 - Remembering Dottie Rambo
MOUNT VERNON, MO - May 11, 2008 - Gospel singer-songwriter Joyce "Dottie" Rambo died early Sunday when the bus she was in ran off the road in Southwest Missouri and struck an enbankment. Rambo, 74, of Nashville, TN died in the crash about two miles east of Mount Vernon on Interstate 44, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. Seven other people in the bus were injured, and were hospitalized in Springfield, MO with moderate to severe injuries, the patrol said. It was unclear if the accident, which occured about 2:00 a.m., was weather related, the patrol said. Severe storms and tornadoes hit the region about 6:00 p.m. Saturday killing 14 people. Sustained winds and storms swept through the area later in the night, according to the National Weather Service.
"She was a giant in the Gospel Music Industry," said Beckie Simmons, Rambo's agent. "Dolly Parton recorded some of her songs." Rambo was inducted to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2007. Rambo has had more than 2,500 published songs, including gospel classics such as "He Looked Beyond My Faults and Saw My Need" and the 1982 Gospel Music Association Song of the Year, "We Shall Behold Him."
Dottie's former husband, Buck Rambo, told Paul Heil of The Gospel Greats program, that Dottie was apparently asleep in her bunk at the time of the mishap. The force of the impact apparently threw her to the floor, causing injuries which proved fatal.
Dottie and her entouage were enroute from Illinois, where she sang Saturday night, to the Dallas/Fort Worth area with Lulu Roman and Naomi Sego as part of what is being called the "Golden Girls of Gospel Music Tour." She was on her way to a Mother's Day performance in North Richland Hills, Texas.

April 13, 2008 - The Amundruds win "Gospel Album of the Year"
PRINCE ALBERT, SK - April 13, 2008 - The Amundruds took home the award for Gospel Album of the Year Sunday night at the 19th Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. The winning album was the Amundruds' latest project, "That's Love." The Amundruds sang at the morning Gospel Brunch on April 13 and the awards show followed that evening. The 19th Annual SCMA Awards included performances by Julian Austin, Donny Parenteau, Kal Hourd, Larry Krause and others. The awards night was closed out with a song by Julian Austin joined by the night's award winners Wyatt, Jessica Robinson, The Amundruds and Donny Parenteau. CALGARY, AB - September 2, 2007 - GMA Canada To Announce Nominations September 11th in Calgary and Brampton.
GMA Canada will announce the nominations for the 29th Annual Covenant Awards September 11th simultaneously at two locations of Blessings Christian Marketplace in Brampton, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta.
Making the announcements in Brampton will be GMA Canada Covenant Award winners Carried Away, along with His Season, 2006 Covenant Award nominee Tara Dettman and new artist Finochio. Making the announcements in Calgary will be Covenant Award winners Raylene Scarrott and Anthony Packward (Seasonal Album of the Year 2006/Trinity Holy Anglican Church).
