The Amundruds To Showcase At NQC
The Amundruds have been added to the artist roster for the Regional Artist Showcase at the National Quartet Convention this year in Louisville, KY. See the Amundruds on Monday, Sept. 13th in the South Wing Conference Center at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center. The showcase begins at 12:30 p.m. and runs to 4:00 p.m. featuring many of North America's Gospel groups, hosted by the Crist Family, Tim Lovelace, and Rodney Baucom. During the convention be sure to visit the Amundruds at their booth: #1126. Other features include evening concerts by some of North America's favorite groups in Gospel music, special speakers - including 2008 U.S. Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin, Dr. Charles Stanley, Dr. Jerry Vines and many others. The Amundruds at Big Valley Jamboree
The Amundruds were added to the line-up at Big Valley Jamboree 2010. They will be singing at the Gospel show on August 1st. Joining them on the Gospel Stage Sunday morning is Ken Grambo with a special guest appearance by the Grambo Brothers. Come and experience some fine Gospel music during this 9:00 a.m. service. Big Valley Jamboree is one of the largest Country music festivals in the world. Every summer over 70,000 music fans gather on the 423 acres of the Alberta prairies for a 4 day celebration. Artists performing this year include Keith Urban, Ronnie Milsap, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Doc Walker and many more.

Remembering "Gib The Great"
"...Life has changed as we know it..."
One of the musical pioneers in the Amundrud family, Gilbert Amundrud passed away at 6:30 p.m. on July 5th while at hospital in Kelowna, BC. "He had just reached the end of his time," says daughter Shelly Amundrud-Vida. His heart and liver were both failing and thankfully didn’t give him much more than a couple days of pain. His strength and pride kept him at home until the very end of his life. Gilbert ("Uncle Gib") will be remembered for his positive outlook on every situation in life, his constant encouragement, sustaining support and passion for music.
"What an AMAZING and wonderful human being he was. His talent was awe inspiring, his kindness for all fellow human beings was unsurpassed, I am honoured to have lived and breathed this life with him. We have had a lifetime with a wonderful Dad and the support of awesome family so we are not sad but will continue to count the blessing of our lives with him always; nothing was EVER left undone or unsaid and there was ALWAYS that beautiful smile and warmth. Amazingly- even the ambulance attendant and night nurse on duty picked up on and mentioned what a wonderful man he seemed to be!" - Shelly Amundrud-Vida (daughter of Gilbert Amundrud)
