Amy Olson To Join The Amundruds February 22, 2011 The Amundruds are pleased to announce that Amy Olson will be joining The Amundruds as harmony/lead vocalist and fiddle player. Amy has sang and travelled in Gospel music in the past. Most recently, she sang with Canada's Double Portion. In Loving Memory of Tom Amundrud January 3, 2011  Glen Amundrud's father, Thomas Amundrud passed away suddenly while at home on the afternoon of January 3, 2011. Please keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time. He lived a good life - a wonderful 93 years. They will be singing at the Gospel show on August 1st. Joining them on the Gospel Stage Sunday morning is Ken Grambo with a special guest appearance by the Grambo Brothers. Remembering "Gib The Great" July 7, 2010 "...Life has changed as we know it..." One of the musical pioneers in the Amundrud family, Gilbert Amundrud passed away at 6:30 p.m. on July 5th while at hospital in Kelowna, BC. "He had just reached the end of his time," says daughter Shelly Amundrud-Vida. His heart and liver were both failing and thankfully didn’t give him much more than a couple days of pain. His strength and pride kept him at home until the very end of his life. Gilbert ("Uncle Gib") will be remembered for his positive outlook on every situation in life, his constant encouragement, sustaining support and passion for music. "What an AMAZING and wonderful human being he was. His talent was awe inspiring, his kindness for all fellow human beings was unsurpassed, I am honoured to have lived and breathed this life with him. We have had a lifetime with a wonderful Dad and the support of awesome family so we are not sad but will continue to count the blessing of our lives with him always; nothing was EVER left undone or unsaid and there was ALWAYS that beautiful smile and warmth.
